ONSTAR CONSOLIDATED SMS POLICY (“TEXTING POLICY”)
This “Texting Policy” applies to your use of OnStar text message programs (collectively "Texting Services") provided by OnStar (in the United States, OnStar, LLC; in Canada, General Motors of Canada Company) (“us”, “our” and “we”), and together with any other terms and conditions that apply, constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and us. By using Texting Services, you agree to this Texting Policy.
SUPPORTED CARRIERS. Texting Services are available on most carriers in the United States and Canada (which may change at any time without notice to you), including: T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, DTC Wireless, U.S. Cellular Corp, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile USA, Iowa Wireless, Metro PCS, ACS Wireless, West Central Cellular, NTELOS, Bluegrass Cellular, Plateau Wireless, Cellular South d.b.a. C Spire, Carolina West Wireless, Appalachian Wireless, Immix Wireless/Keystone Wireless, Cellcom, Cellular One of East Central / ECIT (East Central Illinois), GCI / Alaska Digitel, Inland Cellular, Illinois Valley, Nex-Tech, United Wireless, Chat Mobility, NW Missouri Cellular, Cablevision, MTPCS (Cellular One), Thumb Cellular, Viaero Wireless, AIO Jasper, PTCI (Panhandle Wireless), Flat Wireless, Union Wireless, Copper Valley, SouthernLINC Wireless, SRT Wireless, Mid-Rivers Communications (aka Cable & Cellular Communications, LLC), MobileNation/SI Wireless, MTA, Duet IP, Mobi PCS, Peoples Wireless, Epic Touch, Mosaic, Pioneer Cellular, UBET, South Central Utah, Gold Star Communications, All West Communications, Farmers Mutual Telephone, CTC Telecom, Eagle Telephone System, Nucla-Naturita Tel, Syringa Wireless, Manti Tel, Pine Cellular, Republic Wireless, Google Voice, Chariton Valley Wireless, Nemont Sagebrush Cellular, Leaco Rural Telephone Coope, CellularOne (of North East Arizona), Roger Wireless, Fido, Chatr, Cityfone, Telus Mobility, Koodo Mobile, Public Mobile, Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile, Bell MTS, Freedom Mobile, Vidéotron Mobile, SaskTel Mobility, Eastlink Wireless, Ice Wireless, Sugar Mobile, Tbaytel Mobility, Lynx Mobility, Keewaytinook Mobile, Sogetel, ECOTEL, Xplornet. Other carriers and phone numbers outside of the United States and Canada are not currently supported.
MESSAGING AND DATA RATES APPLY. Messaging and data rates apply in connection with your use of Texting Services. You are responsible for any applicable charges to your wireless account when you opt-in for Texting Services.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE MARKETPLACE RELATED PROMOTIONAL TEXT MESSAGES. You may receive Marketplace related promotional text message offers by consenting online or texting “IN”, "Y", or “Yes” to 69297 to opt-in. By texting 69297 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, "Y", or “Yes” to 69297, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE ONSTAR PROMOTIONAL TEXT MESSAGES. You may receive promotional text message offers by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 667827 to opt-in. By texting 667827 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 667827, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE THEFT ALERT TEXT MESSAGES IN THE UNITED STATES. You may receive vehicle theft and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 66041 to opt-in. By texting 66041 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 66041, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE THEFT ALERT TEXT MESSAGES IN CANADA. You may receive vehicle theft and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30400 to opt-in. By texting 30400 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30400, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY ALERT TEXT MESSAGES IN THE UNITED STATES. You may receive in case of emergency (ICE) alerts and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 866.667.8275 to opt-in. By texting 866.667.8275 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 866.667.8275, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE VEHICLE LOCATE ALERT TEXT MESSAGES IN THE UNITED STATES. You may receive vehicle locate and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 63628 to opt-in. By texting 63628 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 63628, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE VEHICLE LOCATE ALERT TEXT MESSAGES IN CANADA. You may receive vehicle locate and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30500 to opt-in. By texting 30500 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30500, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE DATA USAGE, EV CHARGE, DIAGNOSTIC AND PROACTIVE TEXT ALERT MESSAGES IN THE UNITED STATES. You may receive data usage, electric vehicle charge and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 47268 to opt-in. By texting 47268 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 47268, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE DATA USAGE, EV CHARGE, DIAGNOSTIC AND PROACTIVE TEXT ALERT MESSAGES IN CANADA. You may receive data usage, electric vehicle charge and other related text message alerts, by consenting online or texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30200 to opt-in. By texting 30200 from your mobile number, you authorize us or those acting on our behalf to send non-marketing text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system to your mobile telephone number provided to us. This is not required as a condition to conduct business with us.
When you opt-in by texting “IN”, “Y”, or “Yes” to 30200, you are also confirming that you are able to receive and review this Texting Policy and print or electronically retain a copy for your records. If you are not the primary account holder for the mobile telephone that you are using to enroll for Texting Services, you confirm that you are authorized to, and do, consent on behalf of the account holder to receive messages.
TO OPT OUT, TEXT "STOP". You may opt out of ...
- OnStar initiated Marketplace related promotional text messages at any time by texting "STOP" to 69297.
- OnStar initiated promotional text message offers at any time by texting "STOP" to 667827.
- OnStar initiated vehicle theft alerts in the United States at any time by texting "STOP" to 66041.
- OnStar initiated vehicle theft alerts in Canada at any time by texting "STOP" to 30400.
- OnStar initiated ICE alerts in the United States at any time by texting "STOP" to 866.667.8275.
- OnStar initiated vehicle locate alerts in the United States at any time by texting "STOP" to 63628.
- OnStar initiated vehicle locate alerts in the Canada at any time by texting "STOP" to 30500.
- OnStar initiated data usage, EV charge, diagnostic and proactive messages in the United States at any time by texting "STOP" to 47268.
- OnStar initiated data usage, EV charge, diagnostic and proactive messages in Canada at any time by texting "STOP" to 30200.
If you prefer to opt out of other offerings or by using other methods, we encourage you to change your text message preferences through our digital services (MyGMC, MyBuick, MyCadillac, MyChevrolet or OnStar.com (for the United States) or OnStar.ca (for Canada) or contact us by pressing your blue button, calling us at (888) 466-7827, or mailing your request to OnStar Subscriber Services, ATTN: Revocation of Consent, P.O. Box 1027, Warren, MI 48090-1027. If you are in Canada, you can mail your request to OnStar Subscriber Services, PO Box 455, Station A, Windsor, ON N9A 6L7. You acknowledge and agree that your request will be deemed revoked when received and processed and we will be unable to process your request if you fail to provide correct telephone number(s).
SELLING YOUR VEHICLE OR GETTING A NEW PHONE NUMBER? TELL US. You agree that if you sell your vehicle, cancel your phone plan or change your phone number, you will immediately unsubscribe. This is important so we don't keep sending text messages for a vehicle you no longer own or keep sending text messages to someone who has been reassigned your old telephone number.
OUR RIGHT TO TERMINATE. We reserve the right to unilaterally suspend or terminate Texting Services, in our sole discretion, and without any prior notice to you.
CHANGES TO TEXTING POLICY. We may revise this Texting Policy at any time by updating this posting. If you are enrolled in Texting Services, we will send a text message to note that the Texting Policy has been amended. If you continue to use the Texting Services following such notice, you thereby agree to the amended Texting Policy. Your sole remedy if you do not agree with a revised Texting Policy is to opt out.
CHANGES TO SHORT CODES. We reserve the right to change and consolidate associated short codes. If you do not agree to receive text messages from new short codes, your sole remedy is to opt out.
