Having your car break down in rural Arkansas — on a Sunday — is never convenient. Nicole Kutas knows the feeling too well.
Nicole was left stranded when her car had suddenly stopped working. She knew it was something with the electrical system, but because it happened on a Sunday, she realized there wouldn’t be much help available.
So Nicole pulled up her OnStar Guardian® app,
“I just appreciated the fact that somebody could come out,” Nicole said. “OnStar does pretty much everything and really all I have to do is stay in communication with whoever is going to do the service.”
The Guardian app gives users access to key OnStar safety services wherever they go, even if they’re not in a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle. These include Emergency Services, so you can contact an OnStar Emergency Advisor,

The Mobile Crash Response feature can even use a smartphone’s sensors to detect a crash and alert an OnStar Emergency Advisor. They can then call you, contact First Responders and provide emergency assistance until help arrives.
Nicole had the electrical issue in her car fixed, and she’s quick to recommend the OnStar Guardian app to anyone who might need help on the road. “I’m honestly not sure what I would have done without OnStar Guardian,” she says.
