Ah, the open road. The windows down. The wind in your hair. The sound of going places dancing in your ears as the world races past. Or maybe “windows up, podcast on” is more your speed. However you prefer your time behind the wheel, it’s undeniable that the right scenery can enhance any drive. The right driver assistance tech can help too.
With more than 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada available to eligible Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac vehicles
Overseas Highway: One of only 30 U.S. roadways named an All-American Road by the U.S. Federal Highway Administration, this piece of U.S. Highway 1 in Florida stretches from Key Largo to Key West, covering 113 miles and featuring 42 bridges. The longest of those, of course, is Seven Mile Bridge. Almost every mile offers stunning scenery in every direction, from the road to the horizon.
“It is the best enhancement to driving in decades! I will never buy another vehicle without Super Cruise!”
— Edward B. | The Villages, Florida
Route 66: Also known as the Mother Road, Route 66 has served as inspiration for authors, songwriters, painters, and animators. Running across the Southwest and Midwest from Los Angeles to Chicago, this is Americana at its best, featuring more than 250 buildings, bridges and other sites on the National Register of Historic Places.
Pacific Coast Highway: Construction began in the 1930s, and the views along this 600-plus-mile coastal route from San Francisco to San Diego are as captivating today as they were then. Catch small seaside towns, surf spots, wine country, and a little bit of Hollywood along the way. It takes 10 hours to drive if you run it straight from one end to the other, but why would you do that? Take your time and enjoy.
“Super Cruise makes long driving days go by in a dream, and the bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go stuff as easy as pie.”
— Rusty A. | California
Lake Shore Drive: Maybe the most famous stretch of municipal road in the Midwest, Lake Shore Drive is slightly more than 15 miles of urban beauty with Chicago on one side and Lake Michigan on the other. The road’s origins date back to the late 1800s when a hotelier built a mansion on the drive on the north side of the city. Officially a part of U.S. Highway 41, in 2021 it was renamed Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive, in honor of the city’s founder.
“I purchased my vehicle with Super Cruise hoping it would help with long trips. I was not expecting to love it so much! I use it every single day.”
— Ashyn F. | Pennsylvania
I-90 across Montana: It’s a long, long drive across Montana. It’s also breathtaking. The sky is indeed big, and there are mountains everywhere. So while this run isn’t out of the way, and is certainly well traveled, it’s also worth all the time you’ll spend on the road. Make a stop in the charming little town of Livingston, one of the gateways to Yellowstone National Park along the way.
